The difference between Fengdan and Peony

1. Blades

2. Root system

The fleshy roots of the Phoenix Danshen are very obvious and the root system is not well developed; the root system of the peony is relatively well developed and has many fibrous roots. The peony has the most root systems.

3. Branches

The branches of the phoenix dan are relatively few, and they grow relatively straight. The distance between each bud is relatively long. In autumn, the stem diameter becomes relatively hollow, and it is easy to peel off. The branches of the peony are many, and they do not grow very straight, and are slightly curved. The distance between buds is very short, and the branches are not easy to peel off and are relatively smooth.

4. Flowers

The phoenix peony has a single white petal; the peony flower is very large, and the color of the flower varies depending on the variety, such as white, pink, yellow, etc.

5. Seed formation

The phoenix peony will produce seeds, that is, it will bloom and bear fruit; the peony generally does not produce seeds, and the more beautiful the flowers bloom, the fewer seeds they produce, that is to say, it only blooms but does not bear fruit.
