Things to note when raising succulents

1. Soil preparation

The soil used for growing succulents can be purchased directly online, but experienced growers generally choose to prepare it themselves. Therefore, in addition to the basic requirements of looseness, good air permeability and good drainage, it is also necessary to pay attention to the reasonable combination of organic and inorganic materials to achieve the best effect. Organic materials such as leaf mold, peat soil, etc. should be mainly organic. Inorganic materials such as vermiculite, perlite, etc., as auxiliary materials, can effectively improve air permeability and water permeability.

2. Choose a purple clay pot

In addition to the soil, you should also pay attention to the choice of pots. Ceramic basins absorb water better, but they are easy to bear heavy weights, so they need to be placed in a stable place. Zisha pots are more breathable, so people usually choose this type, and also choose those with thinner walls.

3. Watering by observation

There is actually no very specific rule for watering succulents. It is best to judge based on the condition of the plant and the soil. If the leaves of the plant are drooping or shriveling and the soil is drying out, then it's time to water. Moreover, watering in summer should not be done at noon, but in the early morning. In winter, it can be on a clear afternoon.

4. Fluorescent light fill

Some species will become dull in color if they don’t get enough light. Therefore, if there is not enough light, you can use fluorescent lamps to supplement it slightly. However, fluorescent lamps cannot completely replace sunlight.
