How to water the fortune tree

How to water the fortune tree

1. Watering principles

The root system of the money tree is different from that of other green plants, and its root system is relatively slender. Overwatering can cause root rot. When watering, keep the soil in the pot slightly moist, and don't let it dry out completely, nor let it remain waterlogged for a long time.

The frequency of watering should not be fixed at a fixed time, but should be determined based on its performance. In the north during winter and spring, watering should be done more frequently if there is heating indoors. As summer approaches, the humidity is relatively high, the evaporation of the potting soil will decrease, and the watering period should be appropriately extended.

2. How to judge whether to water

One is to knock on the edge of the flowerpot. The dry soil will make a louder hollow sound; the flowerpot that has been watered enough will make denser sounds. You can also look at the leaves of the money tree. When there is a lack of water, the leaves will droop slightly and some will wilt.

The leaves will recover quickly after watering. When watering it, be sure to make sure the water is clean and the temperature is close to the air temperature. Water it in the morning or evening in summer; in winter, when the temperature is relatively low, you can water it at noon so that the water temperature will not irritate its roots.

If you use tap water, keep the water indoors and leave it for 1-2 days before watering to prevent the chlorine in the water from damaging it.
