How to grow lily potted plants

1. Choose a deeper pot

If you want it to grow vigorously, you need to choose a deeper pot. The best depth is 12 to 15 cm, or an 18 cm deep pot will also be fine, but the specific depth of the pot should be determined according to the size of the plant. Generally, only 3 bulbs can be placed in each pot. If there are too many, it will hinder its growth.

2. Prepare the right soil

It prefers loose and water-retaining soil. We can find leaf mold, sandy soil and garden soil and mix them, but be careful not to use alkaline soil, otherwise it will affect its growth.

3. Water appropriately

During the growth of lilies, just keep the soil slightly moist. Usually, water them once every 1 to 2 days in summer, once every 4 to 5 days in autumn, and once a week in winter. However, the specific amount of watering should be determined according to the maintenance environment. If it is grown outdoors, you can water it less.

4. Apply fertilizer correctly

Before it is potted, you need to add a little base fertilizer. Then in spring, its flower buds are growing, and at this time you need to apply thin liquid fertilizer once every half a month, but you cannot sprinkle the fertilizer on the bulb. After it blooms, add a little more fertilizer, which can make the flower color look beautiful and prolong the flowering period.

5. Provide some light

When it grows, it must be given sufficient light. Many flower lovers may ignore this issue. In fact, a certain amount of light can make it grow stronger.
