How to grow Lithops

How to grow Lithops

1. Soil

When growing lithops, it is best to use loose soil with good air permeability. Never use soil that is too sticky, otherwise its roots may not grow healthily. In addition, it is best to use soil with good drainage, otherwise once water accumulates in the soil, it will affect the development of its roots.

2. Temperature

Its optimum growth temperature is 15-25℃. It is relatively afraid of cold. In winter, the minimum temperature cannot be lower than 5℃, otherwise it will be frostbitten and grow poorly. If the situation is serious, it may even freeze to death.

3. Lighting

It can receive direct sunlight except in summer. In winter, you need to place it in a place with better lighting conditions; in summer, you need to shade it to prevent it from being burned by excessive light.

4. Moisture

Don't water it too often, as it doesn't like moisture very much. If you water it too much, it may cause root rot and moss to grow around it, which will affect its normal growth.

Normally, just ensure that the top window of the plant has a certain hardness and will not dent when touched. In other words, when the top window of the plant becomes dented or even wrinkled when touched, it means that it is lacking water and needs to be replenished with water in time.
