The difference between paulownia flowers and sycamore flowers

1. Differences in tree trunks

The sycamore is a deciduous tree that can grow up to 16 meters in height. The bark is green in color and the surface is relatively smooth without any special protrusions or lines.

The bark of the Paulownia tree is dark in color, ranging from gray, gray-brown to even gray-black. It is relatively smooth when young, but begins to have longitudinal cracks as it matures.

2. The difference of leaves

The leaves of the paulownia are heart-shaped, with 3 to 5 triangular cracks on the surface. The leaves are large, with a diameter of about 15 to 30 cm.

The leaves of Paulownia are oval in shape, with some shallow cracks along the entire edge, and the petioles are long and covered with small hairs.

3. The difference of flowers

The flowers of the paulownia tree are light yellow-green in color, in panicles, about 20-50 cm long.

Paulownia flowers are lavender or white in color and shaped like a trumpet.
