The difference between pentascaris and ixora

The difference between pentascaris and ixora

1. The difference of leaves

The leaves of the five-star flower are lanceolate-oblong in shape, and can reach 15 cm in length, but there are also smaller ones, only 3 cm in length, and about 1 to 5 cm in width.

The leaves of the Ixora are obovate or elliptical, relatively large, generally about 9 to 12 cm long and 4 to 5 cm wide. The surface is dark green and the back is lighter in color.

2. The difference of flowers

The five-star flower has five petals, so it is also called the five-star flower. The corolla is lavender, the throat is covered with dense hairs, and there is no pedicel. The flowering period is from March to October.

The iris has four petals and a brick-red corolla. The corolla tube is about 2.5 cm long. 20 to 30 small flowers gather to form a large ball, which looks like a hydrangea, so it is also called red hydrangea. The flowering period is relatively long, and it can bloom from March to December.
