The difference between wax gourd and winter melon

1. Difference of blades

The leaves of wax gourd are alternate, palm-shaped with 5-7 lobes, about 18-20 cm long, 20-25 cm wide, with serrated edges, dark green on the front and green on the back, with hairs on both sides.

The leaves of wax gourd are kidney-shaped and nearly round, about 15-30 cm wide, dark green on the surface, with soft hairs that fall off after old age, and grayish white on the back with coarse, stiff hairs.

2. Fruit Difference

The wax gourd is a gourd that is oblong or short cylindrical, with a dark green, yellow-green or green skin with shallow longitudinal grooves or star-shaped green and white spots on the surface.

Winter melon is nearly spherical or cylindrical, about 20-30 cm long and 10-25 cm in diameter. It is light green or dark green in color, and has white frost and hard hairs on the surface.
