How to plant the seeds of the couple crabapple

How to plant the seeds of the couple crabapple

1. Seed soaking and germination

In order to increase the germination rate of the seeds of the Couple Begonia, you can soak the seeds in clean water for one night before sowing. After taking them out, wrap the seeds with a damp towel, ensure that the maintenance temperature is above 15°C, and wait until the seeds of the Couple Begonia turn white before sowing.

2. Preparing the pot soil

Prepare loose and fertile nutrient soil, fill the pot with nutrient soil until it is 70% to 80% full, water the soil thoroughly, then sow the white seeds on the soil surface, cover with a thin layer of fine soil. The thickness of the soil should be such that the seeds cannot be seen. Gently compact the soil with your hands, and use a small spray bottle to wet the soil surface.

3. Sowing seeds into the soil

After sowing the seeds of the couple crabapple, you need to place the potted plants in a place with bright diffuse light. When the soil surface becomes dry, use a spray bottle to wet the soil. After a period of time, the seeds of the couple crabapple will germinate and emerge from the soil. After the seedlings grow out, the potted plants need to be moved to a place with good light.

4. Post-planting maintenance

Usually keep the maintenance temperature at 5-35℃, gradually increase the light intensity as the plant grows, weigh the weight of the soil in the pot with your hand, and water it thoroughly when it feels noticeably lighter. After the leaves of the couple crabapple bloom, water the flower with a balanced nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer once every half a month. After the branches and leaves of the plant grow vigorously, switch to phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to promote rapid flowering of the couple crabapple.
