The difference between banyan tree and yellow horn orchid

1. Tree shape difference

The banyan tree can reach a height of 30 meters, with an umbrella-shaped crown and gray bark. Its trunk is thick and its tree shape is very peculiar. The leaves are very dense, and the leaves appear shiny green. The branches are dense, with large branches extending horizontally and small branches tilted and curved.

The yellow horn orchid tree is more than 10 meters tall, with branches extending obliquely upward, forming a narrow umbrella-shaped crown. Its buds, leaves, branches and petioles are all covered with light yellow soft hairs.

2. Leaf Difference

The leaves of banyan tree are alternate, with petioles 2.5 to 5 cm long, stipules broadly ovate, leaves with acute apex, about 5 to 10 cm long, papery leaves, oblong or nearly lanceolate, 8 to 16 cm long, 4 to 7 cm wide, obtuse base, and entire leaf clusters.

The leaves of the yellow horn orchid are simple and alternate, green in color, leathery and shiny, and oblong in shape.
