The difference between pea green and jade tree

1. Distinction between families and genera

Peperomia is a perennial succulent herb of the Piperaceae family. Stems creeping, with many branches.

Jade plant belongs to the Crassulaceae family, a succulent subshrub with a fleshy and sturdy stem.

2. Difference of blades

The leaves of Chinese evergreen are densely packed, almost the same size, arranged in whorls of 3 or 4, broadly elliptical or nearly circular, about 9-12 mm long, 5-9 mm wide, rounded or obtuse at both ends, glabrous or with sparse hairs.

The leaves of jade plant are fleshy and oval in shape, wider than the former, about 4 cm long and 3 cm wide, and the leaves are gray-green.

3. The difference between flowers

The flowers of Peperomia are spike-shaped, terminal and axillary, about 2-4.5 cm long, and the flowering period is February-April and September-December.

Jade plant has tubular flowers, about 2 cm in diameter, white or light pink in color, and blooms in late spring and early summer.
