What kind of plant is Yimoxiang and what does it look like?

1. What plants

A touch of fragrance, also known as touch-and-penetrate fragrance, is a potted plant that emits a faint fragrance when touched, hence the name "touch-and-penetrate fragrance". Its scientific name is Isodon velutipes, a subshrubby perennial herb. Yimoxiang has many functions such as ornamental, edible, mosquito repellent and air freshening. It is suitable for home cultivation and can be placed on desks, coffee tables and other places in the room as decorative plants. It has a strong smell, a bit like apple, which can make people refreshed after smelling it.

2. What does it look like?

The osmanthus fragrans has many branches and the vegetation has fine and soft white hairs. The leaves are fleshy, decussate, green in color, oval in shape and have serrated edges. The flowers are small and come in colors such as white, crimson and pink. When you touch the leaves, they emit an apple-like scent, a comfortable aroma.

3. Growth habits

It likes sunlight and can accept full sun all year round, but it is also shade tolerant. Ipomoea australis likes warmth and is afraid of cold. The suitable growth temperature is between 25℃-30℃. The growth temperature should be kept above 5℃ in winter. When raising it at home, it needs to be placed indoors for maintenance. It has strong drought resistance but is not tolerant to moisture. It should avoid long-term waterlogging as excessive moisture can easily cause the roots of the plant to rot and lead to the death of the plant. It is suitable for planting in loose, well-drained and breathable soil and substrate. It is native to the Cape of Good Hope in Africa, Europe and Southwest Asia, and was later introduced to my country.
