The difference between Chlorophytum and Pothos

1. Leaf Difference

The leaves of spider plant are basal, strip-shaped or strip-lanceolate in shape, long and narrow, and very flexible. Sometimes there are green or yellow stripes in the middle of the leaves.

The leaves of the green radish are 5 to 10 cm long, with petioles 8 to 10 cm long. The leaves are papery, broadly oval in shape, gradually becoming pointed at the front, and heart-shaped at the base, about 6.5 cm wide.

2. Flower Differences

The flowers of Chlorophytum are white, usually clustered in 2 to 4, arranged in sparse racemes or panicles. The pedicel is about 7 to 12 mm long, with its joint located in the middle or upper part. The tepals are 7 to 10 mm long and have 3 veins; the stamens are slightly shorter than the tepals, and the anthers are rectangular, 1 to 1.5 mm long, significantly shorter than the filaments, and usually curled after cracking.

The requirements for flowering of the green ivy are extremely strict and it generally does not bloom.
