Cutting techniques of Dancing with the Wind

Season Selection

The propagation of Dancing with Gardenia is by cuttings, which is usually carried out during the growing season.

Branch processing

Cuttings can be made from branches pruned during shaping. The length is not strict, but there must be at least 3 to 4 pairs of leaves. Remove the lower leaves before transplanting and let them dry for 1 to 2 days.

Pot soil preparation

Prepare the succulent planting soil and insert the Dancing with Grace branch into the soil. (The planting soil usually consists of 2 parts leaf mold, 2 parts coarse sand, vermiculite or perlite, and 1 part garden soil, and a small amount of wood ash or bone meal is added as base fertilizer. Mix well before use).

Maintenance

Keep the cuttings slightly moist after insertion and they will take root in 2 to 3 weeks. After the seedlings survive, apply thin fertilizer to make them grow vigorously. When the plants grow to a certain size, they can be shaped.
