What is the difference between longan and longan?

1. The difference between the two

Longan is also called guiyuan. They are actually the same fruit, just with different names. When it is fresh, it is called longan. If the skin is peeled and dried in the sun, it is called longan.

2. Leaves

Their leaves are thin leathery, initially long oval in shape and later narrower, becoming long lanceolate, usually asymmetrical on both sides, about 6-15 cm long and 2.5-5 cm wide. The ventral side of the leaf is dark green and shiny, the dorsal side is pink-green, both sides are hairless, there are 12-15 pairs of lateral veins, and the petiole is short.

3. Flowers

When blooming, the petals are milky white and lanceolate in shape. Its inflorescence is larger and more branched, and its flowering period is during spring and summer.

4. Fruit

Their fruits are round and spherical. It is usually yellowish brown, sometimes grayish yellow, with a slightly rough skin and tea-brown seeds. The fruiting period is generally in summer.
