Comparison of succulent plants before and after acclimatization

Comparison of succulent plants before and after acclimatization

1. The heart of the leaf begins to turn green

Succulents appear bright before they adapt to the pot. As time goes by, the center of the leaves gradually turns green. This means that the plants are beginning to adapt to the pot and become adapted to the environment. This can be seen by careful observation before and after the adaptation.

2. The old leaves at the bottom begin to dry up

Before acclimatization, when the plant is just planted or just bought, the leaves of the entire plant are green and look very healthy. But after a while, the leaves underneath will start to dry out and look dull. Don't worry, this is just a normal sign after the plant has acclimatized. However, if the leaves become softened, transparent, or black, you need to pay special attention, because this is not a normal sign of acclimatization. There may be a problem with the roots, which needs to be alleviated according to the situation.

3. Aerial roots grow

Before the plant acclimates to the pot, there are no aerial roots on it. However, after it acclimates, aerial roots will grow in the part above the soil layer, which can be observed visually.

4. The leaves become hard and full

The leaves were wrinkled and even shriveled and lacking water before, but after acclimatizing, they will grow healthier and become fuller.
