How to save cabbage seeds

Cabbage is also called lotus white, kohlrabi, etc. Its seeds grow inside its fruit. Cabbage seeds are spherical and brown in color. They are generally harvested after they mature naturally.

Cabbage can be propagated by seeds, and it is usually sown in April in spring and September in autumn, but there will be differences in different regions. The temperature is best controlled at around 25°C. Under suitable environmental conditions, the seedling period is generally about 30-35 days.

How to plant cabbage seeds

1. Seed selection and soaking

Choose high-quality cabbage seeds for planting. Before sowing, they need to be soaked in 50-55℃ water for about 3-4 hours, then kept moisturized and germinated in a 25℃ environment. Wait until the seeds reach a germination rate of 20% before sowing.

2. Sowing

Before sowing cabbage, clean up the debris in the field, then place the seeds on the seedbed, wet the seedbed, sow 3 seeds in each hole, and wait until there are 2 true leaves before thinning and dividing the seedlings.
