Where do cacti grow?

Where do cacti grow?

1. Place of Growth

Cactus flowers mostly grow in the arid deserts of North and South America, where the dry soil environment is not conducive to plant growth. In order to survive, it can only change its own structure, absorb water from the soil, and reduce water consumption. As a result, its stems become very thick, able to store large amounts of water, and its leaves become needle-shaped.

2. Growth habits

It is very drought-resistant and can withstand high temperature environments, but this does not mean that it does not need water to grow. It still needs proper watering so that it can grow more vigorously. It likes light and is afraid of acidic soil. The pH value between 7-7.5 is best and most conducive to its growth. If you grow it at home, you should place it on a balcony with good light, and make sure to mix an appropriate amount of sand into the soil.

3. Cultivation Technology

During maintenance, pay attention to frequent ventilation and provide sufficient light time. However, it is still necessary to provide shade in summer to avoid sunburn from strong sunlight. If the plant is placed in an airtight place for a long time, it will be easily infected by pests, and the leaves will turn yellow, affecting its appearance and growth. In addition, you should also pay attention to the temperature, especially in winter. When the temperature is low, put it indoors and provide a temperature above 5 degrees.
