Cultivation methods and precautions of calla lily

Cultivation methods and precautions of calla lily

1. Soil

Its growth requirements for soil are not very high, fertile acidic soil is enough, loose leaf mold or sandy soil is more suitable for its growth. If it is inconvenient, you can also use the nutrient soil sold in the market.

2. Watering

It is suitable for growing in a slightly humid environment. You can water it frequently, but not too much each time. In the hot summer, water it more appropriately and try to keep the soil in the pot moist.

3. Temperature

The breeding temperature should be relatively high. If it is too low, it will affect its growth. The normal breeding temperature is best at 20℃. The temperature in severe winter is relatively low, and the lowest should not be lower than 8℃. It is best to move it indoors as soon as winter comes, or keep it in a greenhouse, otherwise it will easily freeze to death.

4. Sunlight

It has good shade tolerance, so try to provide it with a semi-shaded growing environment. Only in this way can its growth be better. The sunlight in summer and autumn is still relatively strong, so block half or more of the light. If you place the plant in a place without sunlight or with very weak light for a long time, its leaves will turn yellow.

5. Notes

If the temperature of the breeding environment is dry and stuffy, you must pay attention to improving it, as it is very unfavorable for it to grow in such an environment. You should pay attention to spraying some water appropriately and ensure sufficient air circulation. If you keep it indoors, you should open the windows more often.
