Hydroponic method of Monstera, hydroponic to soil method

1. Hydroponic method

1. First, you need to cut a healthy branch from the mother plant, which should have aerial roots and 3 to 4 leaves. If you want it to take root as soon as possible, you can apply some rooting agent on the cut, which will speed up its growth.

2. At the beginning, don’t fill the glass container too full with water, about one-third of the way is enough, and then place the plant in the pot. It is best not to let it see the sun during the first week, and then put it in the sun to receive light after it gradually adapts to the growth environment.

3. It is best to use natural water or water rich in minerals for hydroponics. If you want to use tap water, you need to leave it for more than 1 day before using it. Be careful not to change the water frequently in the first few days. After it stabilizes, you can change the water every 3 to 7 days.

2. Method of hydroponics to soil culture

1. First, clean the roots and wash them with tap water. Then trim off the longer roots and apply sterilizer.

2. Prepare a flowerpot for it. Choose one with good air permeability. It can be a clay pot or a porcelain pot, but it is best not to use a plastic pot. The diameter of the pot should be between 20 and 30 cm. Wait until it grows up before repotting.

3. The soil used needs to be air-permeable and some perlite needs to be added appropriately.
