Grapefruit seed germination conditions and planting requirements

Grapefruit seed germination conditions and planting requirements

1. Seed germination conditions

If you want the grapefruit seeds to germinate, you must first select the seeds well. There should be no cracks or wounds on the surface. After removing the pulp outside the seeds, try to choose full and plump ones so that there are enough nutrients for germination. The surrounding environment has very high requirements for temperature. If you want the seeds to germinate, you need to ensure good temperature conditions. They can germinate within the range of 15-18℃. If the temperature is low, it will be difficult to germinate, and even if they sprout, it will be difficult to grow.

2. Planting requirements

1. Seeds: Process the seeds before planting, remove the seed skin and soak them in clean water. This can increase the germination rate.

2. Pot and soil: The flowerpot does not need to be too big, just choose a relatively small and exquisite one. The soil should be loose sandy soil with good drainage.

3. Planting: The soil does not need to be filled too full, about 8-9 centimeters is enough. Place the seeds pointed down in the pot, or lay them flat. Cover the top layer with small stones to prevent the loam from retaining moisture, making it more aesthetically pleasing and preventing the invasion of pests and diseases. After planting, water them thoroughly and cover them with a plastic bag to keep them moist.
