What vegetables are suitable for growing in summer

Chinese Cabbage

Chinese cabbage is generally sown from April to July, and early autumn cabbage is generally sown from late July to early August. You can choose ordinary flower pots or foam boxes at home, and choose varieties with strong heat resistance, short growth cycle, compact core, and few diseases and pests, such as Japan Xiayang Early Mature No. 5 and Heat-Resistant King. After planting, cover them with opaque plastic film to ensure sufficient humidity, and seedlings will grow in about 20 days. You can eat the cabbage you grow yourself in 1 to 2 months.

eggplant

Eggplant can be sown or directly purchased as seedlings for planting. The sowing cycle is long and it is difficult for the seedlings to grow without experience. In mid to early July, purchase healthy seedlings and plant them directly.

chili

The best time to sow peppers is from mid-July to early August. Choose a suitable container and spread the pepper seeds evenly, or plant one seed per pot, keeping an appropriate distance. Provide adequate shade after sowing and water frequently, and you’ll be able to eat peppers soon!

tomato

Large tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and yellow holy fruits can all be planted in July and August. Choose mature tomato seedlings and plant them directly, and you can eat cherry tomatoes in a month! However, you can also use the direct sowing method, cover with plastic film, and start from seedlings.

Balcony vegetable planting

Radish, carrot, spinach, lettuce, leek, Chinese cabbage, rapeseed, chrysanthemum, chicken feather vegetable, wood ear vegetable, amaranth, cucumber, lettuce, cowpea, green beans, etc. These vegetables can be sown in July and August.

Plant a seed and harvest a fruit. As long as you don’t give up on yourself in the hot summer, after 1-2 months, although your balcony will not be full of flowers, it will definitely be tempting, colorful, delicious and beautiful!
