Is pine red plum easy to grow?

Is pine red plum easy to grow?

1. Is it easy to raise?

If you pay attention to the daily maintenance of pine red plum, it is actually very easy to grow. The only problem is that it has poor cold resistance and needs to be placed in a warm place for the winter. It is also not heat-resistant and needs proper shade in the summer. Apart from that, it needs to maintain a suitable temperature and good water and fertilizer management.

2. Maintenance methods

1. Light: Pine red plum can receive light for a long time. But it cannot be exposed to the scorching sun, as this will cause burns to the leaves. Therefore, it should be properly shaded in the summer, and placed in a sunny place for long-term light at other times.

2. Temperature: The suitable temperature for pine red plum is between 18-25℃. In summer, the temperature should be lowered appropriately to avoid water loss caused by high temperature, which will lead to yellowing of leaves. In winter, move it indoors in time to avoid temperatures below -1°C, otherwise the plants will be frozen.

3. Soil: Pine Red Plum has low requirements for soil. The soil should be loose and fertile. It would be better if a certain amount of humus is added. At the same time, tiles or river sand should be placed on the bottom to increase its drainage. Since the plant prefers a slightly acidic environment, soil with severe salinity is not suitable for planting. It is necessary to use peat wood to prepare the potting soil, or use ferrous sulfate mixed with water for watering.

4. Watering: Pine Red Plum likes a humid environment. So you can water once the soil is slightly dry, even if it is supplementary water it is beneficial to growth. Do not water too much to avoid water accumulation. During the rainy season, control the amount of water and drain the water in time.

5. Fertilization: Fertilization of pine red plum is mainly concentrated in the growing season, and liquid fertilizer can be applied once one to two months. In addition, you can apply inorganic fertilizer once after pruning to speed up the growth of the plant and ensure more abundant flowering next year.
