Cultivation methods and precautions of Phnom Penh Lily Bamboo

Cultivation methods and precautions of Phnom Penh Lily Bamboo

Golden-edged lily bamboo is very easy to grow and is a common foliage plant in households. It has golden stripes in the middle. Golden-edged lily bamboo grows relatively fast, has strong branching ability, is relatively resistant to pruning, and has a relatively high ornamental value.

How to grow golden lily bamboo

1. Soil

Lily bamboo can grow in clay and sandy soil, but like most flowers, loose, fertile, well-drained and humus-rich sandy soil is the best. For home planting, leaf mold, vermiculite, perlite, slag ash, etc. can be used as the substrate.

2. Temperature

Lily bamboo is suitable for growing in a warm and humid environment. The more suitable growth temperature is 20-30 degrees. In order to prevent the leaves from becoming dull and losing their luster, a certain humidity needs to be maintained during the growth period, and water mist can be sprayed frequently.

3. Lighting

Lily bamboo has a high demand for light, but when it is exposed to direct sunlight in the summer, you should pay attention to shading. For home care, you can place it in a place with sufficient light.

4. Watering

Lily bamboo has strong tolerance to drought and waterlogging, so it needs to be watered according to the principle of watering when the soil is dry and watering when the soil is wet. This watering method can make the branches and leaves dense and the nodes compact, increasing its ornamental value.

Precautions for the maintenance of Phnom Penh Lily Bamboo

When caring for the golden-edged lily bamboo, you need to pay attention to fertilization. You can directly use compound fertilizer, use it in small amounts and multiple times, and pay attention to timely watering after fertilizing. If you need to change the pot, it is best to add some decomposed organic fertilizer as base fertilizer.
