What kind of soil does green radish like?

What kind of soil does green radish like?

1. Soil conditions

1. Drainage: Most plants grow well in soil with good drainage, and green ivy is no exception. If water cannot penetrate or water easily accumulates, the plant will suffer from water shortage or the roots will be submerged, which is not conducive to its growth. Adding river sand to the potting soil can improve its drainage.

2. Breathability: The breathing of the green ivy still depends on the roots, so good air permeability of the soil is also necessary. If the soil becomes compacted, the roots will have difficulty breathing, which can easily cause the plant to wither. Regular soil loosening can solve the problem of ventilation.

3. Nutrition: In addition to fertilization to supplement nutrition, the humus rich in the soil itself can also provide nutrition. Adding an appropriate amount of humus soil into the flowerpot can meet the nutrients needed for plant growth.

4. Acidity: Pothos grows best in slightly acidic soil. If the soil becomes severely alkaline, the leaves will easily turn yellow and wither. You can mix perlite into the potting soil, or water it with ferrous sulfate solution to improve it.

2. How to prepare

For seedlings or cuttings, the soil should be leaf mold or humus soil. Perlite can be added to leaf mold to improve the soil pH and improve air permeability. Sand can be added to humus soil to improve drainage.

For grown green radish, peat soil, perlite and vermiculite are generally used and mixed in a ratio of 3:1:1.
