1. Seedling raising time

There are two main time periods for cucumber seedling cultivation. They can be sown in early spring from January to March. At this time, the climate is mild and the growth rate is fast, which is very conducive to germination. Another time is from June to August in summer and autumn, when the climate is cool and pleasant, which is also helpful for the growth of vegetables.

2. Choose seeds

According to local climatic conditions, select suitable seeds to ensure good quality, screen the seeds, and pick out dry and damaged seeds. After selecting the seeds, they cannot be sown immediately. They need to be processed. Soak the seeds in hot water, maintain the temperature at about 55 degrees, and take them out after about half an hour. After washing with clean water, soak it in clean water for 6-8 hours, then wrap it in wet gauze and place it in an environment of 25-30 degrees for germination. After 2-3 days, the seeds will turn white and can be sown at this time.

3. Sowing seeds

Prepare the seedling tray. You can mix peat soil, perlite and vermiculite in the same proportion to ensure that it is fertile, loose and breathable, and add organic fertilizer at the bottom. After preparing the soil, water it thoroughly, sow the seeds, cover it with a thin layer of soil, about 0.5-1 cm, and adjust the surrounding temperature to 24-30 degrees.
