Cultivation methods and precautions of red nan

Cultivation methods and precautions of red nan

1. Maintenance methods

1. Light: Red nanmu likes sunlight, so in order to make it grow better, it needs to be maintained in a place with good light.

2. Watering: During the maintenance of red nanmu, the soil should be kept slightly moist and do not water it excessively. Water the plants sufficiently before the beginning of winter to avoid dry freezing.

3. Fertilization: During its vigorous growth period, it should be supplemented with fertilizers reasonably, usually once every 15 days or once a month. Note: Do not use fertilizers that are too concentrated or not fully decomposed.

4. Soil: When breeding, the soil used should be suitable. You should use fertile and loose soil, preferably rich in humus, and it would be best if it has good drainage.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Seed propagation: Collect the seeds in autumn, dry them in the sun and store them well, and then sow them in the spring of next year. The seeds must be fresh so that their germination rate will be higher. After sowing, just wait patiently for them to germinate.

2. Cutting propagation: It should be carried out in June and July in summer. Choose strong branches and the length should be controlled at about 10cm. Keep 2-4 pairs of leaves on the branch, then insert it into the soil to half its depth. Keep it moisturized properly and it will grow roots in about a month.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Disease: The main disease that harms red nanmu is fungal disease. It is necessary to use medicine as soon as possible in the early stage of the disease. Wettable powder can be used for spraying.

2. Pests: mainly aphids, scale insects and red spiders. Different pesticides are used for different pests. For scale insects, you can use DDT to kill them; for red spider mites and aphids, you can use Dimethoate to kill them.

IV. Other issues

1. How to survive the winter: It cannot tolerate low temperatures and needs to be protected from freezing in winter. It is best to place it in a room that is sheltered from the wind and has good lighting.

2. Repotting time: In the process of caring for red nanmu, the flowerpot should be changed every 1-3 years, so as to give the plant more space to grow. Repotting is usually done in late spring or early autumn, and should not be done in seasons that are too cold or too hot.
