How to grow dianthus on the balcony, what should be paid attention to

1. Light exposure

When growing dianthus at home, you need to maintain good lighting conditions. You can place it on the balcony for better results. It needs good sunlight. The supply of light can be beneficial to growth, making the plants strong and thriving, and the flowers bloom better. However, please note that it cannot withstand strong sunlight. It needs proper shade and diffuse light in summer to grow better. If it is exposed to direct sunlight, the leaves may get burned.

2. Proper watering

During its growth process, dianthus prefers a dry climate environment and cannot tolerate waterlogging. During the growth and maintenance process, it needs to be given water reasonably and the soil in the pot should be kept slightly dry. Generally, there is no need to water the plant as long as the soil in the pot is not dry. Water the plant immediately when you find the soil is dry, and water it thoroughly at one time.

3. Nutrient application

Its growth cannot be separated from the application of fertilizer. When planting in pots, apply a certain amount of base fertilizer to maintain the growth needs. In the later growth stage, appropriate topdressing fertilizer is also needed. Fertilizer can be applied at intervals of 10-15 days to ensure the supply of nutrients, but the concentration must be low, not too high.

4. Temperature range

When caring for the plant, the temperature should be controlled within the appropriate range, and the best growth is maintained at 15-20 degrees Celsius. The temperature needs to be lowered in summer, and more water should be sprayed around the plant.
