How to cultivate Peucedanum chinense

How to cultivate Peucedanum chinense

1. Soil:

Peucedanum is a perennial plant and is best planted in deep, loose, fertile sandy soil. It is not suitable for planting in sticky, dry and barren river sandy soil.

2. Fertilization:

Peucedanum requires little fertilizer, so apply some pig and cow manure in the early stage. After the seedlings have emerged, combine tillage and weeding with application of human and animal manure or urea. Later, you can apply some compound fertilizer. When applying fertilizer, be careful not to damage the roots or leaves.

3. Watering:

Peucedanum has a strong adaptability to drought and does not need frequent watering in the early stage of cultivation. It should be watered once every 3-4 days before germination. It needs to be watered frequently during the dry and hot summer.

4. Temperature:

Peucedanum has a strong ability to adapt to the environment, prefers an environment with plenty of sunlight, is highly cold-resistant, and the suitable temperature for cultivation is 15-20℃.

5. Pest and disease control:

1. Disease: The main disease of Peucedanum chinense is powdery mildew. After the disease occurs, powdery spots appear on the leaf surface, gradually expand, and the leaves turn yellow and wither. If diseased plants are found, they should be removed and burned in time, and sprayed with triazole copper for prevention and control.

2. Pests: The main pest of Peucedanum chinense is aphids, which can be controlled 2 to 3 times with 20% dimethoate emulsion or other systemic pesticides at 800 to 1000 times dilution. It can also be killed through trapping and killing technology, which is more effective than pesticides and is safe for humans and animals.
