How to cultivate Elsholtzia

1. Soil:

Elsholtzia is not very demanding in terms of soil. It is best to choose soil with loose texture, sheltered from the wind, facing the sun, and with good drainage for planting. Do not use alkaline soil or sandy soil for cultivation.

The main disease of Elsholtzia is root rot. Root rot can cause brown spots to appear on the roots and root necks of plants, and they will shrink, turn yellow and die. You can scrub the roots with 60-degree white wine and replant them. Common insect pests are cutworms. Cutworms will bite off tender stems, causing seedlings to wilt and die, resulting in seedling shortages. They can be controlled by spraying insecticides or by using trapping and killing techniques.
