Cultivation method of flat chrysanthemum Panax notoginseng

Cultivation method of flat chrysanthemum Panax notoginseng

1. Soil

Panax notoginseng is suitable for growing in fertile, breathable and well-drained sandy soil. You can mix garden soil, coconut coir and perlite in a ratio of 1:1:1 to prepare its nutrient soil, and then add some organic fertilizer, which will make it grow better. Before use, the nutrient soil needs to be spread out in the sun for exposure to kill pathogens and insect eggs.

2. Lighting

It likes light, and it is recommended to place it on a balcony or in a sunny place outdoors for cultivation. This will make its stems thick and purple-red, and the fresh leaves will have a strong fragrance after drying.

3. Temperature

It likes to grow in a warm environment, and the most suitable temperature for its growth is 17-25℃. In the early stages of growth, if it is summer, appropriate cooling and shading are needed, and insulation measures are needed in winter.

4. Watering

It needs an appropriate amount of watering during its growth process. Each time you water it, it must be watered thoroughly, but water should not accumulate to avoid damaging the root system. Just follow the principle of "don't water unless the soil is dry, and water thoroughly when you do."

5. Fertilization

It likes fertilizer and needs constant replenishment of nutrients. You can apply some organic fertilizer. Fertilization is mainly top dressing, in small amounts and multiple times, and combined with watering. This can not only prevent seedling burn, but also help the roots absorb nutrients.
