How to grow and water green radish

As a common indoor plant in homes, green ivy is widely loved for its beauty and air purification ability. However, if watered improperly, the green radish is prone to problems such as root rot, leaf rot, dry leaves and yellow leaves. The following are the cultivation and watering methods of green radish.

1. Water correctly

Do not care for your green ivy according to a fixed pattern of watering it every few days, but decide based on the dryness and wetness of the soil in the pot. When the soil in the pot is half dry, water it thoroughly in time. If you are unsure of soil moisture, you can use a bamboo stick to insert into the soil. When the stick is dry, you can water it.

2. Choose the right flower pot and soil

The green radish is suitable for cultivation in soil with good air permeability and rich in nutrients. Avoid using flower pots that are too large or too deep. A common soil recipe includes a mixture of leaf mold, coconut coir, and perlite , which has good drainage and strong water retention.

3. Reasonable fertilization

As a foliage plant, the main fertilizer for green radish should be nitrogen fertilizer. You can choose fertilizers with high nitrogen content and apply them 2-3 times a month. Pay attention to dilution to avoid fertilizer damage. Urea is an economical choice, but it needs to be diluted about 1,000 times when used.

4. Lighting management

Pothos is shade-tolerant and has strong adaptability, but an appropriate amount of scattered light can help it grow faster and avoid yellowing leaves and root rot. It is recommended to place the green radish in places with scattered light such as windowsills.

5. Cutting propagation

It is easy to propagate the green radish by cuttings. Cut 10-15cm branches, insert them into the soil and water them thoroughly. Keep the soil moist and it will take root. Through cuttings, the green radish can fill the pot faster and improve the ornamental effect.

6. Promote the growth of aerial roots

The aerial roots of the green ivy help absorb water and nutrients, and also aid in climbing. You can build a climbing environment for the green radish and spray water on the branches to increase humidity and promote the growth of aerial roots.

In short, if you want to grow green ivy well, you must pay attention to every step, and only the correct watering method can make the green ivy more lush.
