The cultivation methods and precautions of Artemisia capillaris

The cultivation methods and precautions of Artemisia capillaris

1. Matrix selection

Artemisia capillaris can adapt to the soil in all parts of my country, but it grows best in deep, fertile, breathable and well-drained soil. When preparing the soil, you can mix leaf mold, garden soil, sand or pebbles in a ratio of 3:2:2.

2. Water Management

Artemisia capillaris likes to grow in relatively moist soil, so the soil should be kept sufficiently moist before planting. Generally, you don't need to water it before new leaves grow out. If the soil is particularly dry during this period, you can use a small watering bottle to add some water. After that, you can water it every two to three days, but it should not be watered after picking.

3. Nutrient Management

As an edible vegetable, the use of chemical fertilizers should be avoided as much as possible. Before planting, you must first apply enough base fertilizer to the soil, such as organic fertilizers such as animal manure. After each harvest, you can irrigate the soil with a mixture of animal manure and water after the wound has healed, depending on the nutrient content of the soil.

4. Lighting Management

Artemisia capillaris likes warmth and likes to grow in sunny areas with sufficient sunlight, where it can receive direct exposure to sunlight. Therefore, when planting, it is best to plant in a place with sufficient light or in a sunny place.
