1. Proper pruning

When the main trunk of the gardenia grows to about 20 centimeters in height, it should be topped in time, leaving only three or four branches to concentrate the nutrients as much as possible. This can promote branching and make the plant fuller when it grows. Also, always trim off branches that grow too fast or too densely.
