Cultivation methods and precautions of Crinum

Cultivation methods and precautions of Crinum

1. Breeding methods

1. Soil: Crinum likes to grow in soft, breathable soil with sufficient nutrients and not prone to water accumulation. When raising it, you can mix garden soil, leaf mold, peat soil, river sand and other soils to make its culture soil.

2. Sunlight: It prefers sunlight. When caring for it, it should be placed in a sunny place and not kept in a dark environment for a long time. However, in the summer, you should pay attention to shade it and avoid letting strong sunlight shine directly on it to prevent it from growing poorly.

3. Watering: It likes to grow in soil that is moist but not waterlogged. When maintaining it, you should water it in time to ensure that its soil is always moist. However, be careful not to overwater, as this may cause waterlogging in the soil.

4. Fertilization: It prefers fertilizer and needs timely top dressing when growing. In spring and fall, fertilize it every two weeks or so. Normally, nitrogen fertilizer can be applied mainly, but after it enters the bud formation stage, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied instead.

2. Precautions

1. Replace the potting soil: Every 1-2 years of cultivation, remove it from the pot and replace the old potting soil with new one. This will keep the soil in the pot fertile, which is good for its growth.

2. Keep warm in winter: It is relatively afraid of cold. In winter, it should be placed in a warm indoor place for maintenance. Do not let the temperature around it fall below 10℃ to prevent it from freezing and poor growth.
