Cuttings

Cut off the tender branches on the top of the green radish, make cuttings, and use them as hanging plants for appreciation. It is a good setting.

Moreover, it grows relatively fast, and the side branches of the green radish grow slowly and rarely grow in clusters. As time goes by, the leaves at the bottom will gradually turn yellow, affecting the appearance, so cuttings are the best method. Columnar green ivy is actually a plant that has a pillar placed in the flowerpot, so that it has something to climb and grow on when it is indoors.

The thin rope is tied to the palm pole or pinned between the vines. The vines are artificially grown downward along the palm pole, and then grow upward along the palm pole when they reach the root. This method of winding up and down can solve the problem of growing taller.

Willful height growth method

When the tip of the green ivy is higher than the palm column, we can move the flowerpot to the wall or window, and its vines will slowly climb and grow along the window. However, there is a big disadvantage to doing so, that is, all the leaves under the palm column will fall off, and the ornamental value will not be very good.

Wipe method

When the tip of the green radish is about 20 cm higher than the palm column, wipe off the tip from the grown leaves. When new shoots grow out, wipe them off again from the tillering, forcing it to grow new buds and leaves from the tillering below as shown in the picture, and prevent it from growing from the forks above. Doing this will allow green leaves to grow on the lower part of the palm column, thus maintaining the ornamental value of the green ivy for a long time.

Starting from the root

Cut it 5 cm above the root, leaving two tillering parts for each plant. Cut each plant in the pot like this, remove all the vines above, and plant it in another pot. In the near future, you will have two pots of vigorous green radish.

The root removal method for non-columnar green radish is slightly different. We need to cut from the upper part of the roots of the green radish. If a long shoot grows out of a round pot of green ivy, it will be out of place with the whole pot and will lose its ornamental value. At this time, we need to follow the growing vines, find the roots, and cut off the upper part of the roots. The purpose is to let it sprout from the roots.

Hanging method

When the green ivy grows taller, and we don’t want to go through the trouble of cutting it off and are worried about damaging it, we can also choose to hang it up like spider plants.
