Preparation of nutrient solution for hydroponic flowers

Preparation of nutrient solution for hydroponic flowers

General preparation

Required Materials

Liquid A: 125 grams of calcium nitrate and 12 grams of ferrous sulfate. Add the above into 1 kg of water.

Liquid B: 37 grams of magnesium sulfate; 28 grams of diammonium phosphate; 41 grams of potassium nitrate; 0.6 grams of boric acid; 0.4 grams of manganese sulfate; 0.004 grams of copper sulfate; 0.004 grams of zinc sulfate. Add the above into 1 kg of water.

Preparation process

1. Weigh various fertilizers separately and place them in clean containers or plastic film bags, or on plastic film bags spread flat on the ground for later use.

2. When mixing and dissolving fertilizers, pay strict attention to the order. Calcium nitrate cannot be mixed with fertilizers other than potassium nitrate, such as sulfates such as magnesium sulfate, diammonium phosphate, etc., to avoid calcium precipitation.

3. The order of dissolving fertilizers in tank A is to dissolve ferrous sulfate in warm water first, then calcium nitrate, stirring while adding water until evenly dissolved; in tank B, dissolve magnesium sulfate first and then add diammonium phosphate and potassium nitrate in turn, stir with water until completely dissolved, dissolve boric acid in warm water and add it, and then add the remaining trace element fertilizers separately. Stir both liquid tanks A and B separately and set aside.

4. When using the nutrient solution, first take 10 ml of the mother solution in tank A and dissolve it in 1 kg of water, then add the mother solution in tank B to the 1 kg of water and it is ready for use.

Simple method preparation

Some flower lovers may feel dizzy after seeing so many numbers and types of fertilizers. Don’t worry, netizens have also provided their own experiences, so you may as well give it a try.

High-efficiency flower fertilizer method

Buy a bag of high-efficiency flower fertilizer at the flower market, add water to clarify it, and then pour it into a large bottle. Be careful not to pour too much into the hydroponics, just add a few drops to the plants each time.

Compound fertilizer preparation method

Every time you change the water for hydroponic plants, you can add 4 or 5 grains of compound fertilizer into the water. Netizens have personally tested that the effect is good!

Of course, the specific amount of use depends on the size of the plant and the size of the flowerpot. Remember, do not use metal containers when preparing nutrient solution, you can use glass, ceramic and other containers.
