How to breed Luanfeng Jade

Seed propagation of Luanfengyu

Seeding propagation of the phoenix jade: first, you need to prepare a relatively shallow flowerpot, and then put well-drained, lime-rich sandy soil in it.

Secondly, plant the prepared seeds into the soil, then use the immersion method to absorb the moisture, then cover them with glass and place them in a semi-shaded place with bright light.

New seedlings will sprout in about 10 days, and then they can be transplanted. Transplanting should be done frequently to ensure that the growing soil has sufficient nutrients.

Finally, after transplanting, you should pay attention to keeping the soil in the pot moist but not waterlogged to prevent it from being too dry and preventing the plant from growing.

Also be careful to avoid direct sunlight, remove weeds, and prevent root rot.

Grafting propagation of Luanfeng Jade

First of all, the rootstock should be a species of cactus with relatively strong growth shape, such as the three-edged arrow and grass ball, and then it should be grafted and propagated by the flat grafting method.

Secondly, after grafting, the plant should be placed in a semi-shaded place with good ventilation. Check the wound frequently to see if it has water ingress and be careful not to get exposed to rain. After 10 days, the wound will heal automatically and the plant will begin to grow, after which it can be managed normally.

Finally, when the grafted plant grows up, you can cut it off and then use it for cuttings, mainly to allow it to grow its own root system, so that you can cultivate a beautiful specimen bulb.

Cultivation and reproduction of Luanfeng Jade

The cultivation and reproduction of Luanfeng Jade is generally rarely used.

During cultivation, start-up culture medium, differentiation culture medium, proliferation culture medium, rejuvenation and rooting culture medium, etc. are needed. 3% sucrose, 0.7% agar and other substances should be added to these culture media. The plants can then be placed inside for reproduction and cultivation.
