Asparagus fern sponge (foam) hydroponic methodUsing sponge hydroponics to grow asparagus fern has better air permeability than ordinary methods. On the one hand, there is more oxygen in the hydroponic bottle, and there is no need to add oxygen to the hydroponic bottle; on the other hand, the humidity of asparagus fern grown in sponge hydroponics is higher, the leaves are greener, and they are not prone to yellowing! 1. Remove the soil-grown asparagus fern from the pot, clean the roots, cut off old roots, overlong roots, and diseased roots, and place it in a well-lit and ventilated place to dry. 2. Prepare a hydroponic bottle and a sponge (floral mud or foam will also work, but you need to poke a few more holes in it). Cut the sponge so that its shape and size can just fit into the mouth of the hydroponic bottle without falling. Note: the sponge should be made of a harder material. 3. Draw a cross in the middle of the sponge to allow the roots of the asparagus fern to pass through the holes in the sponge, and then place it on the hydroponic bottle. The roots of asparagus fern cannot be completely submerged in water, but 1/3 of them should be kept in the air. 4. For newly planted asparagus fern, you can wrap it with a layer of black paper or plastic bag to avoid sunlight so that it can take root quickly. 5. After about a week, the asparagus fern will grow new roots. You can place it in a well-lit and ventilated place, but don't expose it to strong sunlight! |
