How long is the growth cycle of Arabidopsis?

Introduction to Arabidopsis Growth

Arabidopsis thaliana is widely distributed around the world except for a few areas. It has been found in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Gansu, Tibet, Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Sichuan, Yunnan and other provinces and regions in my country.

Arabidopsis growth cycle

Arabidopsis thaliana prefers a humid environment and grows well when the relative humidity of the air is relatively high. Otherwise, there will be few fruits and the branches and leaves will dry up. It is suitable to be planted in fertile, loose and well-drained soil.

Arabidopsis has a fast growth cycle, generally taking only about 40-50 days from sowing to harvesting.

Arabidopsis growth rate

Arabidopsis grows fast. If the seeds are sown directly in nutrient soil three days after vernalization, the temperature is between 19 and 21 degrees, and the air humidity is above 80%, seedlings can be seen growing in about 5 days.

Arabidopsis growth cycle management

Temperature management: The optimal growth temperature for Arabidopsis thaliana is around 25°C. It can tolerate a certain low temperature and can also withstand a high temperature of 34 degrees, but it will affect the growth of the plant.

Fertilization management: Arabidopsis generally uses nutrient solution, the main ingredients of which are trace elements, iron salts and organic matter. It is usually prepared into a mother solution first, and then diluted with water when used.
