Tiger tail orchid can be propagated by cuttings throughout the year.

Cutting selection

Medium and large species of Tiger tail orchids are suitable for split leaf cuttings, while small species of Tiger tail orchids are suitable for whole leaf cuttings. Choose healthy and thick leaves as cuttings.

Cutting method

Cut the leaves into several pieces at equal intervals of 5-8 cm, and insert the leaf pieces obliquely into a clean medium. The medium should be soaked with water first, and placed in a semi-shaded place to wait for the cuttings to germinate. When the seedlings grow out, they can be transplanted into larger round pots for seedling cultivation.
