Pothos fortunei…why don’t you change the pot quickly? Otherwise you won’t survive the fall!

Pothos fortunei…why don’t you change the pot quickly? Otherwise you won’t survive the fall!

Succulent

Let’s use Lithops as an example. The lithops planted in spring will look very crowded by autumn, so it is necessary to change the pot quickly.

1. Use a toothpick to loosen the soil underneath. We usually use granular soil to grow succulents, such as vermiculite, medical stone, etc. Once the planting material is loosened, the roots can be easily pulled out.

2. Place the pulled out lithops on a plate one by one according to their type. Cut off rotten and dead roots.

3. Place the succulents in a cool and ventilated place to dry their roots and let the wounds become dry to avoid infection caused by water when potting. Just let it dry for 2 days.

4. Spread the potting soil, or the original medium, mainly granular soil. It’s a little shorter because we need to leave room for the pavement. Then water it thoroughly, allowing the water to fully soak into the soil particles.

5. After the succulents have dried, use chopsticks to poke some holes in the medium and plant the succulents. This is what it looks like from the side.

6. Use Kanuma soil to pave the surface and adjust the particle height and flatness. Spray water on the pavement to moisten it, and place it in a cool and ventilated place on the north balcony, and it will recover soon.

Money Tree

After a whole summer of suffering, many people's money trees have experienced wilting and yellowing leaves. Therefore, it is necessary to change the pot.

1. First, hold the branches of the money tree and shake it gently a few times. The soil that comes with the money tree you buy is usually very soft. Just shake it gently to take out the money tree.

2. Observe the roots carefully. This money tree is a typical example of excessive water in the summer, which caused some black rot in the roots. You can pinch the roots gently with your fingers to see if they are soft.

3. If it becomes soft, dig out the black rot part, scrape it clean, and soak it in potassium permanganate.

4. If the black rot is serious, just cut off the bottom, apply carbendazim on the cross section and let it dry.

5. After drying, replant the plants. If there is no black rot, use the original soil. However, for money trees with black rot, new soil must be used, and it must be clean and breathable, otherwise it will be infected again.

Water after 3 days and water thoroughly at once. Then wait for it to dry out again before watering again. New leaves will soon grow.

Pothos

Many people have never seen the green ivy grow since they bought it. This is most likely because the roots have grown out of the pot and it is time to repot.

1. Remove from the pot. Poke a few times into the water hole at the bottom of the flowerpot, lift the green radish by the roots and take it out. The movements must be gentle.

2. Then put it in water and shake it left and right to wash off the soil attached to the roots. This will help to clean the roots. Cut off rotten roots, old roots and excess roots. Then cut off the yellow leaves, old leaves and dense leaves.

3. If you feel that the original roots of the green radish are growing too vigorously, you can also divide out a few plants and plant them in other pots.

4. Prepare loose and breathable humus soil, find a large pot, bury the green ivy in it, water it thoroughly, and you're done!
