The three lazy flower-growing methods that are about to be lost save time and effort. The lazier you are, the more the flowers will bloom!

Lazy Fertilizer

Do you think composting is too troublesome? It's time-consuming, laborious and attracts bugs? Don’t worry, today Huahua will introduce to you a method of composting that is labor-saving, time-saving and particularly clean.

Steps:

1. Find a plastic bottle. The bottle should not be too big. The length should not exceed the height of the flower pot, and the width should not exceed 1/6 of the diameter of the flower pot.

2.Cut off the bottom of the plastic bottle.

3. Bury the plastic bottle in the flowerpot, leaving only the bottle cap exposed above the soil. When burying the plants, be sure to place the bottle on the edge of the pot, not too close to the center. This will not only block root growth but may also easily burn the roots during the composting process.

4. Open the lid of the plastic bottle, cut the watermelon rind, vegetable leaves, fruit peel, etc. into pieces, fill them into the plastic bottle, and then tighten the cap to ferment.

5. In the future, as long as there are leftovers at home, you can fill them into the plastic bottle. After 2-3 months, the fruit peels and vegetable leaves that were first put into the bottom of the pot have rotted, and you can supplement nutrients for the flowers.

6. The advantage of this way of composting is that it will not burn the roots, because the fermentation process is carried out in a plastic bottle, the heat generated will not burn the roots, and once the bottle is closed, it will not produce odor and will not attract insects. If you are still worried about insects, you can add some insecticides such as furadan when filling the peels and rotten leaves.

Lazy watering

Watering seems like a simple thing, but some flowers that like water need to be watered every 1-2 days. If you forget one day, the flowers may die. It is really troublesome! In fact, some water-loving flowers can survive well without watering for half a month using a simple method.

Steps:

1. Find a larger basin without holes at the bottom and without leaks.

2. Find a sturdy plastic bag, fill it with water and tie it tightly.

3. Put water-loving flowers such as green ivy, pennywort, white calla lily, gardenia, etc., together with the flowers and pots, into the prepared large pot.

4. Put the plastic bag filled with water into a large basin and place it around the pots of water-loving flowers such as green ivy, pennywort, white calla lily, and gardenia.

5. Use a needle to poke 2-3 small holes in the plastic bag so that the water can flow out very slowly. Make sure the holes are not too big.

6. The water that flows out in this way will gradually penetrate into the soil through the water holes at the bottom of the flower pots of flowers such as green ivy, pennywort, white calla lily, and gardenia, replenishing water for the flowers. Moreover, because the water flow is very thin and very slow, there will be no excessive water accumulation, causing root rot.

Lazy cuttings

Many people think that cuttings are difficult, complicated and time-consuming, and cannot be done without people. The key is to work hard for 1-2 months, and finally find that no roots have grown or black rot has occurred, which is the most frustrating! Today Huahua will teach you a super simple method of cuttings with a high survival rate. Cuttings of roses, gardenias, jasmines, geraniums, bougainvilleas...are all great!

Steps:

1. Find a plastic bottle, preferably with some purified water in it, the water level should be about 3-4 cm.

2. Cut the branches of flowers such as roses, bougainvillea, gardenia, jasmine, etc. Make sure the branches are healthy and free of pests and diseases, and the length of the branches should not exceed the height of the plastic bottle.

3. The branches do not require special treatment. Just break off 2-3 leaves at the bottom and then insert them into the plastic bottle. The remaining leaves can carry out photosynthesis and promote rooting of the branches.

4. Make sure that the lower end of the branch is about 3-4 cm immersed in water. Place the plastic bottle containing the branch on the south balcony or east-west balcony with diffused light and good ventilation. A small root system will grow in 2-3 weeks.

5. You don’t need to worry about it at ordinary times. Just add some purified water when there is no water. When the branches grow roots, cut the bottle and transplant the branches into the flowerpot.
