How to grow osmanthus in the north through the winter?

Winter precautions:

In fact, osmanthus has some ability to resist severe cold, and can tolerate temperatures of minus five degrees Celsius without any problem. However, if the leaves of osmanthus are kept in a low temperature of minus 5 degrees for a long time, they will easily be frozen.

Do not fertilize osmanthus in winter. If you want it to survive the winter safely, you can place it in an environment with a temperature between 0 and 5 degrees, and also allow it to have plenty of sunlight.

In winter, do not let the soil where osmanthus is planted be too moist, and do not allow water droplets to appear on the leaves to prevent the water droplets from freezing into ice at 0 degrees.

Tips for a safe winter:

Tip 1: If it is a potted osmanthus, you can move it directly indoors, but the indoor temperature should be below 3 degrees, and there should be plenty of sunlight, so that the osmanthus can hibernate, but you must ensure its temperature stability and avoid placing it in an overly cool and ventilated place.

Tip 2: If the osmanthus is planted outdoors, you can apply a film to it when the temperature drops to minus 5 degrees Celsius. Cover the entire osmanthus plant with a transparent film and seal it on all sides. The film can only be taken out when the temperature rises to 5 degrees above zero.

Kind tips:

In fact, osmanthus flowers that spend the winter in low temperatures are healthier than those that spend the winter in warm environments.
