What to do if the leaves of bamboo cypress are dry

What to do if the leaves of bamboo cypress are dry

Too much sunlight

The placement should be determined according to its preferences. It doesn't mean that it will survive well wherever you put it. For example, if they clearly like a cool environment, but you put them in a place exposed to strong light, of course there will be problems. Therefore, exposure to the sun is one of the factors that causes the leaves of the bamboo cypress to dry out. The solution is naturally to change the position quickly and ventilate more. Generally, about three hours of sunlight per day is enough.

Germs

In addition to violating normal growth habits, another possibility for the drying of bamboo cypress leaves is that they are infected with some bad pathogens. This symptom, called tip dieback, is most harmful to the middle and lower parts of the bamboo cypress plant. You can check to see if this is the case when you observe. The color starts out yellowish, then becomes darker and darker, black spots gradually appear in the later stages, and finally it becomes dry. This condition is caused by rainy weather. It will get better if you take more care of it later. If it doesn't work, it is recommended to spray pesticides.

Improper management

If the leaves of bamboo cypress grown in water also dry up, it may be because the root system is not properly treated, or the water is changed too infrequently, or it may be caused by excessive fertilization or being too close to the air outlet of the air conditioner. There are specific treatments for specific reasons. As long as it is managed scientifically, the bamboo cypress will naturally not dry up.
