How to prune bamboo begonia

1. It is more suitable to cut in spring or autumn

When pruning bamboo begonias, you must choose a more appropriate season. Because it grows faster in the summer, it needs a lot of nutrients, and it will also reduce the number of branches and leaves, leading to nutritional deficiencies, which will cause the flowers to wither or fall off. If you prune it in winter, it will make growth difficult. Therefore, it is best to prune it in spring or autumn. First, it will not cause a lack of nutrients and thus cause growth difficulties. Second, when the branches and leaves are just growing out or falling, they require less nutrients, so pruning at this time will not affect the bamboo begonia.

2. Use special scissors to cut

When pruning bamboo begonias, it is best to use tree shears instead of just using a pair of scissors. If the scissors are not sharp, when pruning the crabapple, you may not be able to cut off its bark, or its branches may be deformed, affecting its growth. Of course, rusty or oily scissors are not good either, as they will contaminate the branches and affect their growth. So be sure to use special scissors to cut.

3. Remove the bad ones and keep the good ones
