Conditions for acclimatization of succulent plants in winter

Temperature is the most important condition. The temperature for succulents to acclimate should be between 10 and 25 degrees, which is also the growth temperature of succulents. Friends who have raised succulents have experienced that it is very easy and fast for succulents to acclimate in autumn.

Different temperatures, different acclimatization methods

If the temperature can be guaranteed to be between 10 and 25 degrees, the roots of the succulents can be repaired before acclimatizing them to the pot. The roots that have been repaired will grow much better than those that have not been repaired, which can be said to be a qualitative leap.

But if the temperature is only around 10 degrees, don't be impatient. At this temperature, the plant will adapt very slowly, and it is not recommended to prune the roots before adapting.

If the temperature is below 10 degrees, you can use an insulated box or a sealed plastic bag to acclimate the plants. Opening it for air at noon is also a good way to keep warm.

Precautions for winter servicing

The soil should be slightly moist. After planting in the pot, choose a bright and warm place. You don't need to water it in the first week. At the beginning of the second week, if the soil in the pot is too dry, you can slowly pour some water along the edge of the pot. Don't water it thoroughly. If the soil is too moist at this time, the roots will not be able to absorb water normally, causing root rot.
