Sheep manure is a high-quality organic fertilizer raw material, rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients necessary for crop growth, as well as rich organic matter, which has a significant promoting effect on the growth and development of crops. So how to process sheep manure into organic fertilizer? Let’s learn more about it below. 1. Sheep manure collection and pretreatment Sheep manure should be collected as soon as possible after the sheep excrete to reduce the loss of nutrients and the generation of odor. The collected sheep manure should be pre-treated to remove possible impurities, such as grass residues, wool , etc. 2. Moisture regulation The moisture content of sheep manure should be adjusted to 50%-60% to ensure the activity of microorganisms during the fermentation process. 3. Activate bacteria Add 1 pack (500g) of "Multifunctional Manure and Feces Rapid Deodorizing Fermentation Agent" and 20kg of clean water at about 35°C (normal temperature water can also be used in summer) in a plastic container and simply seal it for fermentation (adding 200g of brown sugar will have a better effect) to activate the bacteria and turn it into activation liquid. 4. Access to bacterial strains Sprinkle the activated bacteria evenly into the sheep manure, leaving a small amount of the bacteria mixture diluted with water and sprinkled on the upper layer of the entire pile. 5. Stacking fermentation The processed sheep manure is piled into strips with a width of 1-1.5 meters and a height of about 1 meter for aerobic fermentation. The pile needs to be turned regularly in the early stages of fermentation to ensure oxygen supply. 6. Fermentation cycle The entire fermentation process generally takes 20-30 days. After turning the pile 3-4 times, when the temperature of the sheep manure no longer rises and is below 45 degrees, it can be basically judged that the compost is mature. However, the fermentation process can be continued without turning the pile, which will extend the fermentation time to about 10 days. 7. Air drying and screening After fermentation is completed, the compost is spread out and naturally air-dried to a suitable humidity, then crushed and sieved to remove large pieces of material to obtain finely divided and uniform organic fertilizer. 8. Save the key points After the sheep manure is thoroughly fermented, it can be put into a woven bag for storage. It would be better if there is an inner bag inside the woven bag, which can reduce the loss of nutrients in the sheep manure and keep it dry. Note that the woven bags should be placed in a cool and dry place, avoiding moisture and high temperature, which can extend the shelf life of organic fertilizer. In general, the method of processing sheep manure into organic fertilizer is not too difficult. The key point is to control the moisture, temperature and ventilation conditions during the fermentation process to ensure the fermentation effect, so that the sheep manure can be effectively converted into high-quality organic fertilizer .
