How to water freesia

How to water freesia

Watering requirements

Although freesia's demand for water is not too high, there are still many things to pay attention to when watering. Here's how to water at different times:

Watering when potting

When first planted, too much water is not needed, just keep the soil slightly moist.

Daily watering

When watering daily, you should follow the method of watering when the soil is dry and watering when it is wet, about once a week is enough.

Watering at budding

When the flower buds grow, which is around February, the environment is relatively dry and will consume more water. At this time, you need to increase the amount of watering and keep the soil moist.

Water after blooming

After the flowers have been blooming for one month, you need to slowly control the watering. It is now approaching summer, when the temperature is high and the environment is hot and humid. If you water too much at this time, it will cause the bulbs to rot.

Water when leaves turn yellow

When the leaves of the plant begin to fall off in large areas, you can stop watering.

Watering during the growing season

During the growing season, watering should be done once a week, but not too much.

Note:

In rainy weather, reduce the amount of watering or stop watering.

When watering, be sure not to allow water to accumulate, otherwise the roots will easily rot.

When the weather is too hot, in addition to placing the plants in a place with good air circulation, you should also reduce watering.
