How to propagate the green lily

How to propagate the green lily

Mode of reproduction

There are three ways of propagation: division, cutting and sowing.

Propagation by division

Breeding time: It can be done after the temperature rises in spring, but not in winter.

Reproduction method: When repotting the plant, you can directly transplant the newly sprouted buds. When dividing the buds, they must have roots and stems, as well as leaves, and then they can be directly planted in pots or in the soil.

Cutting propagation

Breeding time: Except winter, it can be carried out in the other three seasons.

Reproduction method: Select strong and thick branches, cut off about 5 cm to 10 cm long and tender cuttings from the branches. It is best to cut the cut into an inclined surface. Leave 2 to 3 leaves on each cutting, then insert it directly into the soil, water it enough, and place it in a semi-shaded place. In order to make it grow new roots as quickly as possible, water it every day. You can water it directly on the leaves and control the temperature between 20 and 30 degrees. New roots will grow in about 15 to 20 days, and then you can transplant and plant it.

Seed propagation

Breeding time: Except winter, it can be carried out in the other three seasons.

Reproduction method: Select seeds with full and complete grains, mix them evenly with fine sand (fine sand: seeds = 2:1), spread them evenly on the sand bed, and then wrap them with plastic film. Keep the temperature between 20 and 25 degrees. Small buds will emerge in about 5 to 8 days. When the small buds grow about 2-3 leaves, they can be transplanted and planted.
